Domo Emigrantes, an Italian folk music ensemble from Lodi (a city near Milan, Italy) formed in 2009 when the musicians discovered their common passion for the folk music from Southern Italy.
"Immigrants from the Homeland"
After long cooperation experience, both local and international, the three musicians decided to give life to this project with the purpose to promote popular traditions, enriching them with ethnic elements and original arrangements.
The repertoire includes folk songs from Sicilia, Puglia, Campania, Calabria and folk dances like
tarantella, pizzica, tammurriata.
Featuring the indigenous instruments of the Mediterranean - frame drums, friscalettu,
bagpipe, guitar, mandolin, and accordion - the ensemble recreates a sense of Italian world culture
and history that your audiences will treasure forever.
